    IT Manager Job Description

    Job Responsibilities:


    • ·        Plans and implements additions, deletions, and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure company-wide in coordination with corporate leadership.
    • ·        Oversees the implementation of network security at the corporate level
    • ·        Assesses and anticipates future network needs, identifies proactive solutions to satisfy needs
    • ·        Acts as liaison with IT vendors to problem solve issues and ensure efficiency of the network capabilities
    • ·        Upgrades network as necessary by conferring with vendors, developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
    • ·        Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs, providing references and ongoing support
    • ·        Maintains ongoing inventory of all computer/network equipment.


    • ·        Oversees the planning and management of the company’s telephone system and manages company-wide upgrade efforts
    • ·        Provide training and resource information to employees on operating the telephone system.
    • ·        Liaison with telephone vendor to address identified issues and ensure timely resolution.

    Help Desk Administration

    • ·        Oversees the management of corporate help desk activities and resolves all identified IT issues if necessary.

    Asset Management

    • ·        Helps establish and build relationships with vendors in conjunction with corporate leadership
    • ·        Oversees all IT-related purchasing and budget usage; works with executive leadership to develop budgets
    • ·        Holds responsibility for capacity planning and scheduling vendor negotiations related to IT.

    • ·        Communicates effectively with leadership to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
    • ·        Ensures that executive leadership is well informed, at all times, of changes and news worthy events internal and external to the company.
    • ·        Effectively communicates relevant IT-related information to the Executive Leadership
    • ·        Promotes the company through speaking engagements at industry conferences and involvement in local business organizations


    • ·        Provides staff oversight to ensure new operation plans, policies, procedures and transitions plans are consistent with the overall company goals and objectives.
    • ·        Holds responsibility for IT Staffing and budgeting projections on a company-wide basis.

    • ·        Technical Understanding
