In this job, you will:

1.       Review existing freight routing guidelines, develop recommendations, and implement changes for cost effectiveness.

2.      Remain updated on trends in the freight marketplace and utilize the information in actions, input, and decisions.

3.      Research, develop, and negotiate service agreements with inbound freight carriers.

4.      Establish and maintain close coordination of the movement of goods between suppliers’ facilities and Becker’s distribution center.

5.      Determine and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the logistics function.

6.      Maintain all files related to freight routings, including but not limited to suppliers’ company information, contacts, price lists, and other documents.


1.     Ability to work independently without frequent supervision.

2.    Ability to read, comprehend, and compare freight service descriptions and pricing.

3.    Conscientiousness and attitude of cooperation, teamwork, and enthusiasm.

4.    Reliable, steady pattern of attendance and punctuality.

5.    Reliable transportation.

Education and Experience/Skills:


  • H.S. diploma.
  • Three to five years’ minimum experience in a logistics capacity.
  • Demonstrated pursuit of continuing education in logistics and/or other supply chain management field.
  • Intermediate level Microsoft software skills (Excel/Outlook/Word).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks occurring simultaneously.


  • Certification in Logistics from nationally recognized organization.


40 hours/week. 


$22 to $26/hour to start, negotiable upon experience level.
