National Transportation Week

National Transportation Week provides an opportunity for the transportation community to join together for greater awareness of the importance of transportation. National Transportation Week also focuses on making you aware of transportation week related careers.

More than 10 million men and women are involved in keeping our nation’s planes, ports, trains, pipelines and trucks operative year-round. Whether it is by land, sea or air, transportation workers spend long and challenging hours in helping to keep America’s economy moving. The transportation industry is vital to the growth, prosperity and defense of the United States of America.

As one of the oldest clubs in the nation, The Traffic Club of Philadelphia was founded in March 1908. Since the 1970s the Traffic Club of Philadelphia has invited logistical and transportation organizations of the Greater Delaware Valley to hold an annual luncheon. The event is just one of the various ac-tivities that will be conducted during the week to help promote awareness of the significant role transportation plays in the lives of all Americans.
